Employer Reimbursement Deferment (MBA only)

Who is eligible for the Employer Reimbursement Deferment Program?

  • Students enrolled in the Executive MBA or the MBA for Working Professionals and whose employer will reimburse them for their tuition expenses, either partially or in full.
  • UOnline students and all other programs are not eligible for the Employer Reimbursement Deferment Program. Students must pay their account balance by the payment due date and then get reimbursed by their employer.

How does the program work?

The student must submit a letter to the Office of Student Accounts from their employer explaining the details of the company’s reimbursement process along with the specific percentage, or flat dollar amount, of the total tuition the company will cover.  The letter can be delivered in person or via e-mail to saccounts@miami.edu. An advisor will send a promissory note with a breakdown of the deferred payments and the dates the deferment will expire.  The student must sign and return the promissory note to the Office of Student Account Services.  Upon receipt, the University will defer the student’s payment up to 30 days after the last day of the semester.  Any charges not covered by the Company are due by the first day of class.  A non-refundable $100.00 deferment fee per semester will apply.  The $100.00 deferment fee is the student’s responsibility.
